Councillor Vacancy

The Council currently has a vacancy for a new Councillor to represent Edlesborough. Any person wishing to know more about the role should contact the Clerk.

Parking in the Parish

Thames Valley Police and the Parish Council have received many complaints about inconsiderate parking in the Parish. The Parish Council asks that all drivers consider other road users and pedestrians when parking in the Parish. Please ensure there is always sufficient room for emergency vehicles to pass on the road and for pedestrians, pushchairs, wheelchairs and Motability vehicles to pass on the pavement.

Please DO NOT park on the white lines and NO PARKING markings around the village.

McCann Homes & DLP Planning

Towards the end of 2014 McCann Homes submitted a scoping opinion enquiry to AVDC to establish whether or not an environmental impact assessment will be required for the land between Chiltern Avenue and Kingsmead. They have been advised that this will not be necessary.

More information can be found online at Application# 14/01261/APP

The Parish Council hopes that Parishioners attended the Public Meeting held by DLP Planning in January. As and when more information is available it will be shared through the Parish Council website, Facebook page and FOCUS reports.

7.5 Tonne Exclusion Zone

The Totternhoe application for the 7.5 Tonne Exclusion Zone has been withdrawn. A new joint application between Eaton Bray and Totternhoe will be submitted. Consideration will need to be given to the location of the signs as this will impact on Edlesborough and Northall in particular.

New LED Street Light in Main Road North, Dagnall

The new steel column and light is now installed and working between the roundabout and The Red Lion pub. The light is the LED type which is planned to be used in due course through out the parish. The light is fitted with a special lens to project as much light as possible along the pavement. The Council would welcome any feedback from residents.

Please remember to report any faulty lights to the Parish Clerk not AVDC or BucksCC.

Allotments

We currently have allotments available at our Cow Lane and Northall sites. If you would like to take on an allotment please contact the Parish Clerk for more information.
