Parish Council meeting– dates and venues

Parish Clerk

As from 1st April 2014 the position of Clerk will be taken over by Penny Pataky who has been the Assistant Clerk for the past 18 months. Penny will also continue in her role as Manager of the Green, Memorial Hall and Pavilion. Lin Sargeant will remain as part of the Parish Council dealing with Financial and Planning matters, but no longer serve as Clerk.

Standing Orders

The Council’s Standing Orders have been updated to bring them in line with its new Financial Regulations. Both documents can be viewed on www.edlesborough-pc.gov.uk

Aylesbury Vale Local Plan

The recent AVDC Local Plan has been scrapped and a new Plan is now being prepared.

Bucks CC

Due to staff cut backs several members of staff have been moved to different areas and our new Area Technician is Rob Anderson aided by Clifford Marshall. The Parish Council were sorry to loose Paul Foot but will do all it can to endeavour to get the current outstanding problems concerning the bad condition of Kingsmead road and pavements, parking in South End Lane, Northall, pot holes at the junction of Brook Street/High Street, cutting back verges along Main Road South, Dagnall, white lining and railings in Dunstable Road, Dagnall dealt with as soon as it possibly can.

Allotments

There are currently a few allotments available at Cow Lane, please contact Penny Pataky for further information.

Posters are on the village notice boards regarding a BBC 2 Gardening Programme ‘The Big Allotment Challenge’. They are looking for talented amateur kitchen gardeners to compete in BBC2’s The Big Allotment Challenge. For more information and an application form email: [email protected]
