Cemetery Access
Work has commenced on the new Cemetery Access and a turning area has already been constructed off the bridleway. It is hoped that by the time this Focus issue is received the remaining works will have been completed and Hearses will be able to have a better access to the Cemetery without having to travel across the Churchyard.
Play Around the Parishes
Following two very successful visits to Edlesborough, Dagnall and Northall AVDC will be returning again this year during the Summer school holiday, dates yet to be advised.
Street Lighting
All streetlights are now operating and parishioners are asked to notify the Clerk of any faults. The lights at Church End, Edlesborough should be operating as soon as EDF Energy have connected the relevant cables and a new light fitting is to be put on the pole at the junction of Studham Lane and Dunstable Road, Dagnall.
Anti Social Behaviour
Edlesborough are still experiencing problems with anti social behaviour and the Police will be carrying out further patrols of the area.
Development at rear of The Swan, Northall
Following numerous complaints by the Parish Council the Developers have now improved the road and verge surfaces, but further work still requires to be carried out.
Traffic Calming
A recent speed check was carried out in Dagnall resulting in 1 in 5 cars/lorries exceeding the speed limit.
P.A.I.N (London-Luton Airport)
A further consultation is to take place, the Parish Council will be advised as to when this is to be.
