Aylesbury Vale District Council's 'Play Around the Parishes' scheme was extremely well received throughout the Parish villages with very good attendance by the children. A letter of thanks has been sent to AVDC.
No Parish meetings have taken place during August but general maintenance of Boilers, Electrical tests and Fire Risk Assessments have been carried out at the Memorial Hall and Pavilion.
2 further vandalised car park bollards have been replaced at the Memorial Car Park and the new goal posts are to remain erected on The Green.
Litter Picking
Over the past few weeks a large amount of broken bottle glass and rubbish has constantly been 'dumped' behind the Pavilion together with quantities of weekly newspapers placed in the rubbish bins.
If any Parishioner would like to volunteer as a litter picker for Edlesborough please contact the Clerk.
Funding
The Parish Council are applying for funding for additional play equipment on The Green, Dagnall Recreation Field and Northall Playground.
Grass Cutting
The Clerk was requested to obtain quotations for 2009.
The Pavilion, Edlesborough
The Parish Council will be holding a meeting with the users of the Pavilion to discuss again the possibility of an extension to The Pavilion.
Allotments
Allotment rents will be collected weekend 4th/5th October, notices are on the allotment site gates. It is very important that if any allotment tenant wishes to give up their allotment that they notify the Clerk in order that this can be re-let to those on the waiting list.
Edlesborough Church/Bridleway
Through funding received by Safer Routes to School the bridleway from Edlesborough Church to Ivinghoe Aston has now been completed enabling children to walk to Edlesborough School in safety.
Cemetery Access
A revised specification is at present being considered by The Churches Conservation Trust.
