Parish Plan
The Parish Plan meeting was held on 7th February with 33 parishioners and interested parties in attendance. Regrettably the Parish Council were only informed at 12.15pm that day that a representative from Bucks Community Action would not be able to attend due to ill health and it would have been too late to cancel. Cllr Cubbage apologised to those present and proceeded to give a very informative presentation of what a Parish Plan would achieve. It was agreed to hold a further meeting with Bucks Community Action, together with a representative from a Parish Council who have successfully achieved the setting up of a Parish Plan to which members of the audience who wished to learn more would be invited.
Traffic Calming
All the yellow backed signs and roundels are now in place. The Parish Council were extremely concerned to hear that the Area 13 Speed Limit Review has been put back still further until 2009 with implementation not now being carried out until 2011 due to central government funding cuts. The Parish Council have responded by requesting that it’s request for the current 40mph speed limit on the A4146 through Northall to be reduced to 30mph be taken out of the Speed Limit Review and dealt with as a separate issue with immediate effect. The request for dropped kerbs in Edlesborough to help wheelchair users etc. is equal third on the prioritised list of bids for the Buckinghamshire County Council’s 2007/2008 delegated budget.
Churchyard/Cemetery Access
A further site meeting has taken place and permission has been given by the descendants of certain family graves in the Churchyard for this project to proceed.
Winter Road Salting
The Parish Council have written to Bucks CC requesting that High Street, Edlesborough be included as a priority for salting due to there being a hill, two bends and a School.
