The Summer 'Play Around the Parishes' entertainment for the children has once again been very successful with good attendances, only one wet day when it had to be held in the Memorial Hall thus restricting various planned activities and reduction of children who could attend. AVDC are proposing to create an 'On The Road Project' which again will visit the Parish with a portable skate park and i-van for the benefit of children from 11years onwards hopefully to commence during October. Further information will appear on the Parish Notice Boards.

Traffic Calming

A public consultation on the Area 13 Speed Limit Review is due to take place shortly, information will appear on the Parish Notice Boards and on the Edlesborough Parish Council website: www.edlesborough.gov.uk

Dagnall 'Build Out'

Further discussions are taking place with Bucks CC to create a safe crossing for children to cross Dunstable Road and be able to walk through the allotments to Dagnall School without having to use the main roads. It is hoped to report something more positive regarding this project, which has been discussed by the Parish Council and Bucks CC over the past 10+ years, in the not too distant future.

Litter Bins

Regrettably the litter bin kindly donated and placed on The Green has been vandalised.

Vandalism

So far this year the padlock on the bridleway gate at the side of Edlesborough Church has been sawn off three times. Continuing repairs have to be carried out to The Pavilion, replacing broken gutters and roof tiles, due to footballs being aimed at The Pavilion, grafitti removed and the Council are aware of further drug dealing taking place in Edlesborough.

Road Signs

New signs have been erected in Edlesborough indicating the commencement of where Moor End finishes and High Street commences.
