Weather conditions

The AVDC website has kept the Parish informed daily regarding the non-collection of household bins, recycling etc. caused by the heavy snow and notices have been put on the Notice boards when appropriate. AVDC apologises to residents for the disruption and inconvenience.

Memorial Hall Heating

The Parish Council wish to thank, and apologise to, users of the Hall for their patience whilst experiencing problems with the boilers which have now been serviced and are fully functional.

Cemetery Access

Tenders have been invited for work to commence on the access route and a further update will be available in the next Focus issue.

Road signs

A replacement ‘Edlesborough’ sign has been installed by the RAF houses but unfortunately the village sign in Moor End has been removed, Buckinghamshire County Council have received instructions for this to be replaced.

Budget

Full details will be discussed at the February meeting.

Local Area Forum Delegated Budget

The Parish Council’s request for the ‘Build Out’ at Dagnall has been included for consideration together with a request for further bus shelters.

Fixed Assets

A working party has been set up to review the Parish Council’s ownership of land, building etc. throughout the Parish.

Fire Risk Assessments

These have been carried out for the Memorial Hall and the Pavilion and new notices displayed in both buildings.

Street Lighting

EDF Energy have been requested to install a longer arm to the light removed from Church End and now erected within the Churchyard to enable light to reach the highway. A new column is to be erected on the corner of Studham Lane and Dunstable Road, Dagnall.

EDaN Projects

Discussion is to take place regarding the proposal to floodlight Edlesborough Church.

South End Lane, Northall

Continued pressure is being made to Buckinghamshire County Council and AVDC to ‘clean up’ this Lane and to enforce the Developers of the new development to abide by the conditions of the planning consent.
